Volunteer
There are many ways to volunteer at Sanctuary of Hope!
We are currently seeking receptionist volunteers to provide a friendly and welcoming voice during the afternoons for one or more days during the week. Duties include answering the telephone, greeting visitors and occasionally, provide tours of the main building, along with information about our gardens and nature trails, etc. Please call Julie at 913-321-4673 or e-mail [email protected] for more information.
The second Saturday of each month is our "Volunteer Work Day." It's a time of fellowship and fun as we work together to make improvements or do general upkeep to our building and grounds. Tasks on a Volunteer Work Day may include lawn cleanup, painting, storage organization, and other light duties.
If you have a specialized skill such as plumbing, electrical work, roofing, computer skills, marketing, etc. please consider sharing your time and talent. Since Sanctuary of Hope is completely funded by private donations, we look for volunteers to help with many things.
Also, consider joining our Development Committee or Public Relations Committees.
Please contact Colleen Cook to explore volunteer opportunities.

Wow! Thank you so much for having us today, Sanctuary of Hope! We are blessed to have been part of such a beautiful day on your property. To hear these middle school boys talk about how they can't wait to come back someday and serve again, speaks volumes about the impact this beautiful place had on us today. I can't wait to share this place with more people and come back, too. Everyone was so welcoming and fun to be around and I was just in awe of the beauty that surrounded us while we spent our day outside on the grounds. From the labyrinth, to the butterfly garden, to the amazing trails and ponds, statues, and prayer areas that surrounded us - I am truly grateful we got to take part in this day. Until next time... God bless!
We want to express our appreciation for your generosity in support of St. James Academy's all school serve day. Your personal commitment was incredibly helpful and allowed us to help better ourselves while bettering our community. Thank you for allowing us to come to you space and spend the day in service. We are grateful to be creating new experiences in such a charitable place.
We are looking for an individual who would be interested in maintaining our library. This would include re-shelving books and adding new books to our catalog. If this sounds like it would be a good fit for you, please call Julie at 913-321-4673 or e-mail [email protected].
